The Ministry of Tourism held a meeting on Thursday 18th of January 2024, invited relevant authorities in the tourism sector to discuss the mechanism of unifying statistical data within international and global standards. The meeting was attended by the Vice Chairman of Jordan Hotels Association Board Mr. Hussein Hilalat, and the General Manager of the Association, Mr. Mustafa Kawash, and the Statistics and Studies Department at the Association.

During the meeting, the focus was on exploring and discussing effective ways to achieve the unification of statistical data in the tourism sector. This aims to enhance coordination among involved entities, improve the overall performance of the sector, and elevate Jordan’s global standing in the fields of tourism and antiquities.

With the goal of enhancing performance and achieving established milestones, the meeting also emphasized knowledge transfer and studying the impact of tourism on the economy, society, and the environment. The intention is to derive precise policies for the benefit of the tourism sector based on accurate statistical reports.
